Zalando Goes to GOTO

Zalando technologists will speak at GOTO London and Copenhagen.

Posted on Sep 09, 2015

For the first time ever, GOTO will hold a conference in London—and Zalando will be part of it. GOTO is an international series of conferences that include 1-2 days of training and 2-3 days of talks. Speakers include notable authors, experts and practitioners across various areas of software development. Zalando was excited to be a sponsor and participant of the 2014 GOTO Berlin and GOTO Amsterdam 2015, and now London (Sept 16-18)—and Copenhagen! (Oct 7-8)—are calling.

You might remember that Zalando Cloud Engineer/ STUPS Hacker Henning Jacobs spoke earlier this year at GOTO Amsterdam about “A Cloud Infrastructure for Scaling Innovation Across Autonomous Teams.” His talk focuses on our open-source Platform as a Service (PaaS), which includes tools in Clojure, Python and other languages.

For GOTO London, Zalando People Lead Bhuvaneswary Vijayan will present “The Polyglot Platform: How Zalando Manages Language Diversity.” Then at GOTO Copenhagen, Platform Engineering Head Jan Löffler will present “Radical Agility with Autonomous Teams and Microservices in the Cloud.”

If you’re going to GOTO, make sure to visit the Zalando Tech booth to play some fun games, watch footage of our yearly Hackweek, and talk to Zalando engineers. If you’re looking for a new opportunity, bring your resume: Our recruiters will be on site to conduct mini-interviews for our jobs in Berlin, Dublin, Helsinki, Dortmund, Erfurt and Mönchengladbach.
